Our story

Founded by a field entomologist tired of the status quo.

In 2012, our founder spent three years as a technician for a national pest control brand in Sydney. Most of what he was told to sell had nothing to do with solving customer problems - it was a script tied to a commission structure. The final straw was watching a senior tech recommend fogging for a bed bug case, knowing full well it would scatter the infestation through an entire home.

ClearPest was founded the following year with three operating rules we still keep:

  1. Inspect before you quote. No price, no protocol, no product before a technician has actually walked the property.
  2. Bait before you spray. Non-repellent targeted treatment eliminates colonies. Aerosol sprays mask symptoms.
  3. Say no when that is the right answer. A fruit fly problem is an environmental problem. We will say so - even when there is a service call in it for us.

Fourteen years and 12,000+ protected homes later, those rules still frame every conversation a technician has with a customer.

Our values

What we insist on, every visit.

Diagnostic-first

Every call starts with a written inspection - species, harborage, entry points. If we cannot name the species, we do not apply a product.

Transparent pricing

Every quote is itemized. Every service plan is month-to-month. No upsells disguised as diagnostic fees, no contract lock-ins.

Apex Guarantee

If target pests return between scheduled visits, we come back free - as many times as needed until the problem is resolved. No asterisks.

Fast response

Free inspections within 48 hours. Active infestations on Shield Plus and Premium get same-day response.

Central Texas focused

We service the Austin metro only. Our technicians know Texas species, Texas soil, and Texas seasons. No national scripts.

Responsible products

EPA-registered non-repellent baits first. Pet-safe organic options available on request. We do not use products we would not apply in our own homes.

Credentials & compliance

Verifiable, audited, and insured.
